Currently still undergoing testing in winter conditions we might see the new Porsche 911(991) Turbo revealing this summer. The engine details remain elusive but if rumours were true, however. The “TT’ behind the ‘911’ might become a whole new meaning with the new 991 Turbo. ‘TT’ of course stands for Twin Turbo, but we might be talking Triple Turbo and near 600 HP for the 991 model.
Serious numbers, knowing the outgoing 997 Turbo S coughs up a 530hp already!
The overall design stays pretty faithful to the current model, but there’s larger 918 inspired air intakes, very curvy and muscular hips, and a new four-tailpipe exhaust system. (as featured on some of the renderings shown below). The rear spoiler also appears to be larger than the one on the outgoing 997 Turbo.
Word is the new GT3 might lose the manual, many would agree this would be a shame considering the 911 GT3 is has always been a real drivers car. For the Turbo on the other hand it seems more likely to be PDK only, which should ensure this is one of the world’s fastest convertibles and the fastest cabrio 911 ever.
Oval quadpipe sports exhausts.
