The upcoming BMW i8 hybrid electric sports car will hit the roads somewhere in 2014/15, meaning this BMW i8 Motorsport racer is just one big fantasy for now. That being said, you may fantasize for yourself about any powertrain that would fit the chassis, electric shit, inline 6 turbo? a V8? Heck maybe even a v12, you name it . However, the attributes of the i8 with its lightweight body, dynamic and nimble handling combined with an exclusive high performance three cylinder engine(with lots of turbo’s) could get you an exciting and electrifiying new direction for sports cars.
