Lexus IS-F Coupe

Watch out BMW.

Lexus isn’t fully concentrating on hybrids, The BMW M3 M4 (four, ‘get used to it!’) is getting competition from Japan. In the shape of a Lexus IS-F Coupe. Which looks like an exorbitant BMW from the back. Even with the camouflage.

So, it is supposed to be Lexus image-booster, should BMW sweat their chests?
It simply looks like the controversial styled Lexus IS, with two doors. And is related to the LF-CC concept which was shown as a concept not too long ago.

However this one that will have an -F written behind it. That means 4 exhaust pipes and wider fenders with holes in them.
We haven’t seen a normal IS-coupe yet, but we know some extra power for this -F version is very likely too.

Lamborghini Thinks It Has Wings

Check this out! Its your every day Lamborghini Gallardo race car but it seems this one had one too many Red Bull’s to drink! Although the car thought it had wings, in reality, it really didn’t… Or maybe the Gallardo took its fighter-jet-style design a bit too seriously?

What actually happened here is simple: the lack of downforce. Yes, this is the perfect example to showcase the importance of downforce and aerodynamics at high speed. The air that usually flows around the car ended up getting caught up beneath the car and more-or-less just picked it up.

(Jeremy Clarkson Voice) Still, could be worse…

Ferrari To Debut 458 Scuderia At Frankfurt

Following this years Geneva Motor Show, it seems Ferrari is on quite a roll! First it was LaFerrari, a ridiculously fast hypercar and next will be this- the Ferrari 458 ‘Scuderia’ (or whatever it will be called, Monte Carlo has been rumored). The ‘Scuderia’ will essentially be a hardcore 458 Italia which will come with aero-upgrades, larger intakes and wider air vents to cool that powerful V8 which will be delivering up to 600 horsepower courtesy of an ECU remap and some other engine upgrades. Did we mention that there’ll be an upgraded exhaust system too?

The other main point of the 458 Scuderia apart from out-right power, is lightness. The F430 Scuderia was 100 kg lighter than a stock F430; expect around the same kg figure for the 458 Scuderia.

Achtung! S63 AMG Teased

Following the all-new W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class’s reveal, it is no surprise it’ll be getting some AMG treatment, and finally, we have the first official teaser.

The W222 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG will feature the same M157 motor found in most modern AMG’s today. The output is not yet known but it is expected to produce around 557 hp and around 590 lb-ft torque on a rear-wheel-drive platform. The new S63 AMG is also rumoured to be a part of the S trim found in the E63 AMG S and the CLS63 AMG S, this will evidently push the horsepower figure up to around 585 hp.

Expect a ridiculously powerful S65 AMG variant to join the AMG family too!

McLaren MP4-12C Wearing A Cloth

They’re obviously ‘hiding’ something. Most likely a minor facelift, or life cycle impulse, as BMW would call it. Since MP4-12C was first introduced in 2009, this wouldn’t be a bad idea.

We can see a new set of LEDS shining through the piece of fabric streched over the front of this McLaren Spider spotted somewhere in Germany. The front bumper and interior are to receive some minor updates as well.  And perhaps a little surprise in the back, who knows. We’ll see in Frankfurt at the IAA this september.

That’s pretty much it.Oh, and a couple extra ponies of course. About 640.

Jaguar’s Mouth Watering Project 7 Concept

Jaguar just revealed a F-Type variant of every racers dreams, the Project 7. It’s in concept form, and it’s an utter shame that it’s only been created to wow the crowds at the Festival of Speed. Yep, you guessed it, it’s another one-off!

It’s becoming quite annoying how Jaguar are failing to give us cars that us petrol-heads actually want, such as the C-X75, that is a supercar that belongs on the road, but Jaguar will keep it caged up.

The Project 7 Concept is based on the F-Type Roadster, and looks like a modern day successor of the Jaguar D-Type.

Based on the F-Type Roadster, the Jaguar Project 7 (the name refers to Jaguar’s seven Le Mans triumphs) is strictly a one-off design study designed to wow the crowds at the Festival of Speed.

The amazing thing is, that Jaguar’s designers actually turned it from sketch, to reality in just four-months, which is pretty impressive!

It features a new carbon-fibre front-splitter, side skirts and a rear diffuser. The windscreen been reduced down in size, giving the Project 7 a hint of D-Type. The rear features a fixed spoiler and a deeper front bumper design. The bonnet vents, wing mirrors and even inserts on those huge 20-inch alloy wheels feature carbon-fibre.

Having only space for the driver on the inside, the Project 7 Concept goes with a race-inspired theme.. Where the passenger would normally sit, is where the driver can keep his helmet, and the helmet itself goes with the cars’ theme by having it matching to the blue exterior paintwork. The seating position is also race-inspired, as the driver sits 30mm lower than the standard F-Type. Even the drivers’ seat has been changed to a composite bucket seat and is gripped by a four-point harness.

The power isn’t on the short-list, the Project 7 Concept incorporates a not-so-subtle 5.0-litre supercharged V8 from the original F-Type V8 S but with an extra 54bhp, taking the final figure to an astonishing 545bhp. Torque has also been increased from 625Nm to 680Nm

Under the bonnet is the same 5.0-litre supercharged V8 as the F-Type V8 S but with an extra 54bhp, taking the total output to 545bhp. Torque also increases from 625Nm to 680Nm. Put the pedal to the metal and you’ll be hitting 0-60 in 4.1 seconds.

Lady Ferrari Owned By Single Egg

Well it’s not entirely new about what is happening in London; all the owners of beautiful supercars are being hated on by London residents because they are apparently causing too much havoc on the streets and disturbing all the residents from normal day-to-day living. For anyone who doesn’t know what we’re on about, watch the ‘Millionaire Boy Racers’ documentary.

With this video, it’s absolutely no surprise, this video was shot on Sloanne Street in London which is a hotspot for supercar spotters, oh and for angry residents! It seems someone watching from above saw this lovely yellow Ferrari 458 Italia Spider coming a mile off and decided to get an egg ready hopefully aiming for the womans’ head but instead, it ends up hitting the windscreen frame, scaring the living daylights out of the driver.

A New 5 Series? Already?

Yes, this is a new generation BMW 5 series Touring. Completely new. We didn’t expect to see this so soon. We don’t even know the codename yet. Ok, BMW  just released the 5 series LCI, and we know the cars from BMW undergo a full, long and thorough test programme. Where the new gen 7 series (G11)  is already on the trail, this is just facing the start of it and won’t see a production version before 2016.

Even though it is packed with camouflage it does show some new design cues. Likely to be sharing some elements with the recent BMW releases and the upcoming BMW 7 series. It will go on a diet with CFRP tech, like the new gen 7series,  making it much lighter then the current models.
