The new Porsche Boxster spied

It doesn’t seem to have changed all that much, but have a closer look and you’ll see that the new Boxster has become more of a looker with the side now wearing a dramatic side strake and sizable air inlet, like the Carrera GT. As seen on the photo’s leaked a few months back(and renderings from a year ago),  we can also clearly see a new integrated lip spoiler that spans across the entirety of the car’s rump, bisecting the tail-lamps.

Word is that this new Boxster will introduce a  next-generation 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder leaning towards a 360bhp.
And considering the amount of camouflage the car is wearing on these photo’s, it seems it won’t be much longer before we will see the official pics online.

991 Saga: GT3 spied for the first time

With the new 991 coupe and convertible out and about, it’s time for Porsche to get on with all the new 911 variants. One we will see first after the Carrera4/4S models will most likely be the 991 Turbo, which has been spied in both coupe and convertible form. Now the track oriented 991 GT3 was caught on the test track showing a fixed, quite big, redesigned Gt3 spoiler on the back. It seems the Gt3 will also retain it’s central exhaust and sporty look, the car on the spyshots is wearing a sportier front bumper, however the rear bumper still appears to be the one from a normal Carrera with a hole cut out for the exhausts. Surely the 991 will be more economical whilst offering more performance, expect the 911 (991) to come closer to the 997 GT3 RS power figure of 450hp. Weight will be reduced, possibly by around 40kg.

Scooped: Ferrari 599 successor *video update*

Here it is, wrapped up in a lot of heavy camouflage this sure isn’t an aerodynamics test for the upcoming Ferrari 599 Successor.
Codenamed F152 or F620, the new car will retain the front engine placement and use a version of the 6.3 liter V12, delivering more than 700 horsepower. Meaning it will be more powerful then the Ferrari FF and the 599 GTO. Power will be delivered to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with a F1 style electronic differential. As for the looks, there isn’t much visible from these pics, but it will be an evolutionary design from the current 599 with cue’s taken from the Ferrari FF and the Ferrari 458 design language.

**Update 1/16/2012
The new Ferrari GT is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012 and will then go on sale in later in the year. Sources tell us that under the pillow-topped camouflage we see here is a production ready car so stay tuned for more info soon!

Camouflage peeled from F32 4 series.

With the F30 now official, first of the f32 3series/4series(?) coupe were spotted testing with loads of plastic covers and the infamous BMW camouflage wrap.  This is an attempt to envision what the production form may look like underneath. By tracing the general lines on the mule in one of the spyphoto’s, the basic shape and stance of the car should be accurate. The lines on the side of the car are curved along with the position and tilt of the doorhandle, which is actually visible on the spyshot.

For more info and different colors see F30Post.

BMW F30 M3 Spied!

The first test mules of the new M3 have surfaced. And, it’s the sedan. Interesting because all of the rumors going on, apparently BMW decided to cut the 3 series model line and ditch the coupe and convertible. Instead these models will be called the BMW 4 series. These pictures show an F30 3-series sedan with several trademark M3 features such as quad-exhaust, flared fenders and drilled brake discs.

And just like the V10(S85) we now have to say goodbye to the V8 because the next M3 is rumored to get a V6 powerplant, powered by 3(!) turbo’s,  A 450 PS (331 kW / 444 bhp) triple-turbo 3.2 liter six-cylinder. All in the name of fuel emission regulations. But a triple turbo sure sounds exiting!

The 2012 M6 with M5 wheels

The folks at BMW M decided to lauch the BMW M5 with the 5spoke rim style that has derived from the old M6, and the M6 with wheels that look like they evolved from the E60 M5. Most likely you can check these 5spoke M5 wheels on the option list for your M6 as well.
