Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato

The latest angry bull out of the stable is the one-off Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato.

49 years ago, Lamborghini and Zagato collaborated to conceive the 3500 GTZ. Since then, the list of vehicles produced by the collaboration is mega, get this – two Lamborghini Diablo models, the Zagato Raptor and the Lamborghini Canto.

Italian designer Zagato is celebrating their 95th anniversary at Villa d’Este 2014 with a special Lamborghini . Commissioned by Albert Spiess, Lamborghini and Zagato set out to create something incredible for him to include in his collection.

The project uses the underpinnings of a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4, although an old structure to the Huracan, it’s still a pretty darn impressive platform to work on nonetheless! The one-off Zagato also uses the same powertrain as the Gallardo such as the naturally aspirated V10 and its transmission.

Although inspired by the Huracan, even the untrained eye can tell that the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato looks nothing like its production brothers (Gallardo & Huracan). The Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato features a wide front bumper and the trademark Zagato double-bubble rood. Moving to the rear, the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato has large mesh vents as well as quad exhausts.

As amazing as it sounds and looks, members of the public won’t have to opportunity to purchase the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato unless the individual who it was commissioned for decides to sell it. It’s just another unicorn we can’t have! But still, take your time and drool over it!

Twin Turbo Gallardo Breaks World Record

Because at Unlim500+ in Russia, a stock Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 with a V10 and 560 horsepower just doesn’t cut it. Might be enough for most of us, but not if you want to join the Russian Unlim recordholders.  Welcome then, to the Underground Racing Twin Turbo Gallardo. How much power? Here’s a clue: Lamborghini Gallardo LP2005-4.  Yes, 2005 horsepower!

HOLY SH*T!

This car has set a record at UNLIM500+ by running 21.852 on  a mile straight hitting, wait for it… 263 mph (423.2 kph)!

Lamborghini Thinks It Has Wings

Check this out! Its your every day Lamborghini Gallardo race car but it seems this one had one too many Red Bull’s to drink! Although the car thought it had wings, in reality, it really didn’t… Or maybe the Gallardo took its fighter-jet-style design a bit too seriously?

What actually happened here is simple: the lack of downforce. Yes, this is the perfect example to showcase the importance of downforce and aerodynamics at high speed. The air that usually flows around the car ended up getting caught up beneath the car and more-or-less just picked it up.

(Jeremy Clarkson Voice) Still, could be worse…

Lamborghini Super Trofeo Orchestra

Is there really any need for an explanation? Just listen to that raging bull! This is the 2013 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo season which lasts for one night in Misano, Italy. Essentially, it’s a racing series for the amateur where you can rent one of these godly Super Trofeo’s and have a go around the track. Obviously rental doesn’t come cheap, in fact it costs in excess of £25,000! But hey, for that money, you’re getting you get a couple of practice sessions, some qualifying time and two 50-minute races in the 562-hp V10-powered race-prepped bull.

Worth it now, right?

Lamborghini Gallardo Successor

Lamborghini-Cabrera-spyshot-02

We have been waiting for this, with ‘we’ meaning every single sportscar enthusiast. With its countless special editions and botox injections over the past 10 years, the last of Gallardo breed bulls, the LP560-4, is nearing the production line finish.

A NEW BREED
For the first time, the supercarmaker from Sant Agatha Bolognese has been ‘spied’ taming a new breed. Going by a rumored project name of Cabrera. Lamborghini will finish the taming process later this year to present it to the world in the grazing of cars, the IAA Frankfurt. From the looks of it, the overall styling seems to be the calf of an Aventador and Sesto Elemento.

Not much is known about the specs of this new car. But lighter, more power, dynamic and fuel efficiency will probably be some of the key words of this new Lamborghini.
