Thanks to the sources over at Bimmerpost we know now the BMW i8 Spyder has been greenlighted for production last friday.
The production version of the BMW i8 Spyder was presented internally at BMW in Solar Orange, with blue ‘i’ color highlights.
Coming late 2015
According to the insiders the production i8 spyder will make a first appearance in more then year from now, late 2015.
Naturally the i8 Spyder will feature the i8 coupe’s powerplant and drivetrain, and the production styling aspects that come with it.
The roof structure design will most likely be altered to fit a practical targa roof, but will look just like the concept i8 Spyder in terms of style.
